- Bloodwritten was created in 1997 in Warsaw, and was founded by Bastard [vocals, guitar] and Thanathos [guitar, lead guitar]
- Soon the band joined Ostry [bass guitar] and Arek [drums] In the autumn 1998 they recorded 12 minutes long debut demo called simply Demo '98. It contained 2 songs with intro & outro. Shortly after the recording Ostry and Arek leave band due to lack of interest in playing metal.
- Thanks to Multum in Parvo editor, Bastard manages to get in touch with two musicians from Wołomin [near Warsaw]. Taylor Hod [drums] and Wampir [bass guitar] join the band and Bloodwritten starts to prepare new stuff and play two concerts in Wołomin [over 300 people each] Bloodwritten work over arrangements to new album and they design the cover and start to promote the band. Pages in Blood - debut material contains 6 songs - over 36 minutes of music with intro composed by Merot [Black Horsemen] and outro.
- Unfortunately, because of poor technical abilities of the drummer, lack of good bassist [ bass on "Pages..." is recorded by Thanathos because of lack of professional attitude from Wampir ] and also because of lack of recording experience album is poorly arranged and recorded what makes showing the band potential impossible
- Despite all of the above "Pages in Blood" gathers different reviews from metal zines and e-zines, some of them pretty good. Reviews underline potential of the band and evil atmosphere of the recording. There is also answer from the listeners, who mention Ancient Gods Born Again/Dog-Star/ and Świt / Nigdy Więcej/ as the most promising songs from the debut material.
- Encouraged by answer from fans Bloodwritten begins to work over new material. After many discussion considering further way and style of the band, Bastard and Thanathos state that Bloodwritten will be with more thrash guitars, more brutal death sound and with even more evil black atmosphere as before.
- To get it done Bastard leaves guitar and focuses on vocals. Hypnos [formerly session and live bass player] grabs guitar, and the band joins Chaos [bass - formerly in prog-rock band called Winsome Jester]
- With this line-up Bloodwritten promote "Pages in Blood" and works over new stuff.
- Within few weeks Taylor Hod leaves the band due to so called "musical differences".
- After long searching for the right drummer in July 2002 Bloodwritten finds new drummer DeAmon [at present Namtar, Cassiopeia]. Unfortunately after two months DeAmon leaves [ joins Namtar ]. In September 2002 band joins DarKiron, and for almost a year they try to finish the arrangements of the newest stuff. Unfortunately DarKiron leaves the band due to technical differences.
- Bored with this permanent lack of good drummer BW takes into consideration end of Bloodwritten. But few weeks after Matt [drummer of Condemnated] calls Bastard and joins Bloodwritten.
- In June / July 2004 Bloodwritten records demo entitled "REBORN" in the professional Hertz studio, which contains 13 minutes of dark black/thrash metal in 3 pieces+intro.
- At present Bloodwritten is after the first gig promoting new demo and prepares attack for Autumn'04. Next material will be recorded at the beginning of 2005.
